SoCal Cops are playing patty cake compared to Ohio Cops

In So. Cal. we have seen so many local news TV pursuits where our cops are required to bend over backward to guarantee the rights of the fleeing criminals, even to the detriment of protecting the public.

Where would you feel safer in Ohio or California?

Police car chases are bad! No good can become of them. I have amputated a 14 year olds leg because of bad judgement and a car chase. Oh sure it is wrong to steel but should we cut off a leg of all thieves who steel a cars. I did.

You cut off the wrong appendage. Thieves get they hands cut off not their legs.

Seriously, none of the options are appealing, but you have to take the lessor of two evils. One if you never give chase, you are basically saying it is open season to rob, rape and pillage, because if you run, you most likely will never get caught. On the other hand giving chase can sometimes hurt innocent bystanders.

In this case the guy got what he deserved and no innocents were hurt.

Thanks for the link. You are right that would never fly in So.Cal. Pretty ballsy move by the cop who hopped on the hood of the car though. I think that guy probably did a little more than steal a car to get that response! Cops have a tough gig and if they feel like they are in danger they should respond accordingly. :thumbsup

Those cops deserve a medal, great job!
