Yes, you read correctly. The lovely Porsche GT3 is shortly to go to a new home, and in its place will be a red Viper ACR. Production date is supposed to be this week sometime, maybe next.

Stay tuned for photos and full review...

Congrats!

Ours came in last week and is headed to Indiana tomorrow for the start of the One Lap of America race.

I have two black ones on the assembly line as we speak. This 6 weeks is killing me. Have fun at One Lap!

Red loaded some where in production.

The Viper ACR's are fantastic cars. Steve recently test drove one for Road and Track magazine. It was a comparison of all of the "big brother little brother" supercars.

I actually forgot that the GT3 RS was also in this comparison.

Steve's reviews in R&T are great. Really enjoy them, one of the best things about that rag :)

Mine has been in D1 status for months now. I need to call and get an update. :banana

Roc...and you thought getting in and out of the GT was tough. Wait until you are trying to scoot over those hot sills. Hope your back can take it.

Chris, I think they fixed that in the new models. The exhaust is out the back now.

You are right, it was the worst part of owning one before...

I never had an issue with my 06 because I could simply slide down the seat with the door open. The problem with the GT is that I would have to crawl under the door to get in when I parked the car close to another car.

Someone else posted pics on the Viperclub site of their new ACR, and it exactly the way I ordered mine. :biggrin

08 SRT-10 Vipers are side exhaust

Unless exhaust system is unique to the ACR (and i don't think so), 2008 Vipers are side exhaust. Side sill temps in my new 08 SRT-10 are much better/cooler than my 1998 GTS.

Roc, your cars are always in "G" status. :lol

I look forward to another review Walter!

p.s, I gave you a sticky in the media section, so when the ACR review shows up I will copy that to the thread as well for all to enjoy. Thanks!
