    2 more on exotic wrecks

Pete, Sorry to hear about your mishap. My suggestion of a repair shop would be Concours Auto Body in southern N.J. They have repaired numerous Exotics for myself and my friends. They have GT experience as they fixed a 300 mile car and used my car as a reference. Mike and Gary Battaglia are the...

LeMans Winning GT40's From The 60's - Where Are They? What are They Worth?

1015(the light blue w/red-orange eyebrows MKII) #1 car was restored and owned by Brian Mimaki of California. This car crossed the staged finish line 1st in 1966 but was given 2nd place due to its starting position. Brian brought 1015 and a small block car to the SAAC convention in Watkins Glen...

    serial number

Wow! Now I know why you are called "Quickdraw". Thanks for the speedy response. We did have a truck at the dealership the same day that the car arrived. Only bad things can happen at a dealership if a car sits. I wanted to remove and preserve all of the delivery stuff.

    Found On Road Dead...

ENZO BTR, I didn't get the letter as I am not the original owner. Any chance that you could post the letter or the contact phone so I can try to see the factory recommendation for storage. Thanks, GT 703

Carroll Shelby Sold Out Long Ago

Shelby selling out to who?? I agree that Mr. Shelby does seem to be everywhere these days but in a free market the buyer decides the "value" of any given item. I have previously owned a few of his "original" cars but I don't feel that anything that he does will negatively affect the value of...

Am I the only one that likes the "standard' wheels?

Have you used the P-zeros on your GT? I believe that they were on my Challenge Stradale and worked well. I like the predictability of the Goodyears. I know that Ford worked with Goodyear to "get it right"

Am I the only one that likes the "standard' wheels?

I also prefer the standard wheel and would like to get a set. I am more concerned with getting the "correct" OEM tire as I was told that the aftermarket Goodyears typically have a different construction. Even though they are the same type and size, their belts and/or compound is different...

    Gt Quality Problems

If you want "perfection"....Buy a toyota :biggrin If the car 'speaks to you' like it does to me, buy it! I have had many imperfect cars but like women and friends, their 'flaws' only enhance the experience. In other words, buy with your heart NOT your mind or you'll wind up with a something...

    Ground Clearance?

Rick, My experience with my GT vs. my Viper GTS is that the Ford's clearance is GENEROUS compared to the Viper. Although my driveway hasn't been an issue with either, the Viper was more difficult from a clearance standpoint. My Ferrari Challenge Stradale, my Viper and my friend's Carrera GT...

    One Of 101...

Hi Guys, I have some experience with backup cameras and have sucessfully used a Clarion unit in a couple of Lambo Murcielagos where heat was an issue. The cameras are made of aluminum, larger than most, and weren't cheap. I will see if they are still available and how they might fit on a GT...

    Extra wheel & tires

Has anyone tried to purchase a spare set of wheels/tires direct from Ford? I want a second set and would prefer to buy them already factory-mounted to assure OEM spec'ed tires and proper mounting and balancing.
