Japanese Styrring
The Japanese have some strange styling features, which IMO render this car decidely unattractive (the new Lexus and Toyota supercars (?!) share the same affliction.) UGHH. If this engine and driveline package was clothed in an organic, slippery shape which was pleasing to the...
Bought my case of Mann HU 925's from German filter and my mechanic says that it was too long to install, and much longer than the Ford(Mann) filter, so he installed the latter. WTH?
Anyone familiar with the cost of installation? Would this be something the Ford dealership GT mechanic would understand how to set up and/or adjust? Sounds appealing, but I am unfamiliar with the process.
Axle Bolt Breakage
Mine lost drive on Christmas Eve morning going over a speed table at all of 5 mph. Total mileage was 2,100. The inner bolts were probably broken sometime before but the suspension had not been unloaded to cause the separation. Inner passenger rear half shaft popped out...

Mexico to prove it....left my car down there 25 years ago, after a daylight accident when I made the proper choice to leave the road rather than to hit two young boys on bikes who just happened to swerve directly...
Those wheels are amazing---blue beats white on the brake dust, and sets off the stripes very well - I like the idea of drilling the spokes with safety wire to a spoke, As a final touch but which might obscure the fine "GT" detail, would be that the centers be red on one side and blue on the...
muffler replacement
The Accufab is great down low and loud[er] at WOT, and for a while it drove me crazy inside the car with droning and buzzing until I had the short shifter installed. Turns out that the subwoofer screws were loose and caused the problem.
wiper stub cap solution
I used the blue twist off plastic top from a Sprite (that also matched the blue of my GT stripes). However, I then painted the caps black. A perfect press on fit! NO need for expensive anodized fittings.
heat shield foil
Could not find the gold but did find what must be silver at Summit--made by Dyatech I believe--2,000 degree reflection. Anyone know where or what the gold stuff is?
