    Insurance cost and where????

Realize you are replying to a different Allstate post, but my Allstate agent told me they sub-out the coverage if it is under the Collector Car category, but not when it is a conventional policy (in CA anyway).

    Insurance cost and where????

I insure a couple of cars through Haggerty, and for some reason the quoted annual mileage allowed for the GT was about half what they allow for the my '64 Corvette. Conventional $250k/$250k with $500 deductible was quoted around $1200 per year for the GT through Allstate if I were to go that route.

    Cobra barn find

I remember back in the 1970's a friend of my brother had a 427 Cobra in a single car garage with a dirt floor. Even back then we knew it was a very cool car, but it seems so odd now that this mechanic living in a tiny house had a car of that quality. The other one I knew of at the time was owned...

    U.S. Top Gear review...

Canceled my "record all" . I kind of like Tanner, but some of the other non-blokes were just awful. The BBC original is a VERY tough act to follow and I just can't help but compare. Bummer. The clincher is that my wife is cool with watching the original but hates the Yank version.

    1963 Times Gp King Cobra

Anybody else old enough to remember this? Even if you are not this is a very cool piece of History. http://wn.com/1963_LA_Times_GP__Winner_Dave_MacDonald_Driving_Shelby_King_Cobra_at_Riverside_Raceway

    Who could sell a GT??

That's been the headline. Approaching $1 trillion evidently. A niece just worked her way through law school ending with only a $30,000 debt, scored high enough on the Bar that they asked her to be a grader (BTW, although they do not give you a "score" the top 5% or so are invited to be graders...

    Who could sell a GT??

I realize we are straying a bit off topic (but perhaps not since the topic really gets to pretty quickly to financial pressures and family responsibilities) what exactly is the purpose of a $200,000 college education? Most of my co-workers and I benefited from a high quality education at state...

Entertaining GT Vs. ZR1 discussion on another forum

Chevy guy chimes in So I have been a life long Chevrolet guy, starting with a 1969 Z-28 dual quad cross-ram (honest) and the only exception being a Ford factory built 1966 F150 truck with a t-bird interior (long story, but cool truck). That said the cars on my short lust list are the 2005/2006...

2010 F1 Cars are horribly ugly.

Since normally form following function yields a pleasing design, and I do not know anyone who thinks the F1 cars of the recent years are pleasing to the eye in any way (perhaps pleasing to the ears though), I would submit that maybe it is when it is form following function within narrowly...

    New California Law

Completely agree. Although it has been many years since I have been pulled over, I always looked for a parking lot or side road and never had a problem due to delaying pulling over (turned my signal on right away so CHP knew I was aware of him). Common sense is unfortunately, not common.

    New California Law

I have always done it anyway, and noticed the other day the CHP was giving a very long hard look at a car in front of me that did not pull into the LH lane or slow down.

    Calendars!

This is the box (don't know the version), sorry to bear the bad news. Rarely have a problem with UPS, although they did break a LCD TV (and then "lost" the replacement).

    Calendars!

Mine arrived today with a couple of creases and dents. The box fits rather tightly "width-wise" so any deformation of the box (mine was slightly crushed) is transferred directly into the spine of the calendar. In my opinion the packaging needs to be better.
