Ouch!! Prolly needs a lil bit more than duct tape! Lol!

He was demonstrating how he leaves Cars & Coffee.

I was at Detroit GP Friday and all day yesterday. Saw the corvette pace cars pacing. That is funny. The track is short, just over 2 miles, narrow and bumpy. Not a great track for the race cars. Never thought it was hard for the pace cars.

Musta hit the power a little too early coming out of the turn

Pretty embarrassing for a Corvette guy and Sr Exec at GM to mess up. Street circuits don't have a lot of room for error, so he gets a "time out."

Good one Gary!

I’m guessing GM will send the pace car Corvette to Dana Mecum wrecked so he can get top money for it with no front end! Maybe he thought he was driving a Race Car instead of a Pace Car!

When our gang went to Indy in 07 I think they had 10-15 corvette pace cars in a lot near the track just in case.

We are all just a bad bump away from hitting the wall! Feel bad for Mark, he's a good guy.

As my old (redneck) boss once told me, “show me the man who ain’t f**ked up an’ I’ll show you the man who ain’t done s**t”

+1 there, too!

On the one hand, there's a certain schadenfreude in looking at someone else's screw up. But on the other, I know I've had a few close calls, so I shouldn't laugh too hard and tempt the Fates.

...another good reason why when DBK picks a track for our GT Forum Rallies.... he picks those with the walls as ''far away '' from edge of track as possible.

And I for one am very pleased that he does.
