Any fellow forum members have a lightly used Ford Racing (Borla) Muffler available?

Perhaps you are changing it because it's not quite loud enough for you. I'm interested in a setup that's just a wee bit louder, smaller, and runs cooler than stock, but I'm not ready to pay the full price for new one yet.

Thanks !

do you know for a fact that is lighter and lower temps....I know that ford said it has no more horsepower, but they did no tune testing on it

The Borla is approximately 1/2 the weight of the OEM muffler and about 75% of the size. Theoretically you have a smaller heated mass in the engine compartment but don't count on any measureable cooling benefits - especially any benefits that would show up on your water temp gauge.

Is the GT your first supercar??

Perhaps you should have bought a Mustang (parts come a little cheaper)
Good thing you didn't buy a Ferrari and went shopping for a Tubi exhaust - then you would found out about big money tuner parts :ack

My last supercar was an AMC pacer.
I didn't buy the GT, I found it with the keys in it.

JaxGT,
I have a used Ford Motorsports / Borla exhaust sitting in my basement.
I used it for about 2,500 miles before putting on an Ida exhaust system.
They are $2,700 new, you're welcome to mine for $1,350 + shipping.

If you have a pristine 390 AMX (or two) right now, Bony, it's worth a few bux! :thumbsup

Worked on two of them over the years. I know where there is a very nice driver quality resto in Souix Falls, Sd. Won't win a concours, but will win cruise night shows and local stuff. Such a cool car, with great stories and history. Relatively cheap muscle car that is far more unique. It's been on my to do list as a resto vintage T/A racer theme. They really ran Javelins, but this would be more fun to do.
