Wipple/TT

We had good fun upstairs in Kendall's garage racing on the PS3. I'm gonna' get one of these soon.

Maybe you guys can answer some of these questions regarding SC vs. TT.
1) Overheating issues? More likely with the Whipple? Compared to stock?
2) It seems to me that most people who are running their GTs on road tracks (u know with curves not 1/4 mile runs) are running a pulley and tune (e.g. Ed). Is this correct? Would the Whipple or TT be harder to run well on a road coarse (such as VIR) due to traction issues secondary to so much power? Asked this question before but never really got an answer from someone who has actually run a Whippled car or a TT on a road course.
I am considering one of these options when the warranty on my car runs out in May 2009. But I may just do a pulley and tune 'cause I am afraid of having a car with too much power to handle on road courses such as VIR.
Appreciate any thoughts on all this?:thumbsup

I Am Not Aware Of Any Tt Or Whipple Gt's That Have This Problem.

The Tt / Sc System Allows You To Turn The Boost (power) Down To As Low As You Would Want To Have It). This Would Allow You To Find Out What Threshold Of Power Is Too Much For Any Given Road Course And Any Given Driver Skill Level. The Boost Controller Will Allow You To Use Less Power And Turns Then Turn Up The Wick For The Straightaways.

Come Visit Our Shop And Go For A Ride In A Tt/sc Gt And I Think It Will Answer A Lot Of Your Questions! Nothing Wrong With A Pulley/tune/exhaust Either. 600 Rw Hp Is Very Satisfying For The Road And Track.

Thanks John. I have a stupid question...how does one control the boost in a turbo? I have a Cayenne Turbo and it is either off or really on!! Typical turbo lag followed by thrust. Of course if you keep the RPMs low, you can reduce the boost but this is not really that effective. I remember DBK talking about the TT producing controllable power as compared to a sc like the Whipple. Excuse my ignorance on this subject.:wink Just want more clarification regarding the "boost controller".

Ok, here is a good explanation of a turbo boost controller.

Sounds like your system is tied into the engine management system. Is this easy to adjust? In other words, can someone take a car to the track, and adjust between sessions? Again, forgive me for stupidity!

yes the boost controller changes power output with the push of a button.

also the tt only is laggy under 3500 rpm. the tt/sc is not.

please call me if i can help answer any other questions!
