Winter fueling (it spills out)

If in the winter I get caught with only a 1/4 tank and I want to add fuel I use a 5 Gallon VP type plastic can to put in fuel.
Normally a nice trickle p!sses out the bottom.
Am I sticking it in too far or not enough that it's p!ssing out the overflow?
(I know,.....that's what she said.....)

Or inevitable fuel loss via the overflow thingy,....i.e. can't prevent.
Thnx

You need a fuel adapter plastic tool for the cap less system from Ford. All new f150 have them. Insert this tool (tube) and all is good.
Looks like this.

Ford tucked one in my spare in my Fusion. Bought one for the GT - really in-expensive just incase insurance.

Thnx guys. Do I need a specific one? Will the one in the EBay ad suite the GT?

E-bay link above looks just like the one that came in my 2013 Shelby.

Works perfect in the GT as well.

And - it looks like you can use it as a portable urinating device for your wife or girlfriend!

Good one:facepalm:

Better attach a bag to that if ur gunna pee.
Or maybe an old Skool radiator spill hose....
Thnx again guys.

Every Ford produced with the new Capless Fuel system comes with one of these . (except our FGT's)
The are usually packaged under the trunk liner on the passenger cars in a Styrofoam block.
I am not sure where my truck is packaged . I will look tomorrow. (Ed - where was the
Raptor packaged. ?)
Virtually impossible to fuel from a can with out having one or similar.

I use one of these. It works great. Not a drop spilled.

Under the rear seat in a crew cab. Not sure about my gt500. I have never looked. I use the f150 one all the time for my FGT.

In the GT500 it's in the trunk, just lift up the bottom flooring and it should be there.
