I'm clearly revealing my lack of knowledge here, but I thought that the FGT ECU could not adjust for increased (or reduced) octane. Doesn't that require a knock sensor - arguably lacking from the car? Unless a different tune was downloaded/used - in which case it truly is now a necessity.

I always thought the only reason you needed high octane was for high compression motors.I do think the 100 smells nice !!
