'Great ad...'very clearly makes its point...but, I'm betting it might "hit a bit too close to home" for many members of the target demographic...:willy

Yup, I'm there with Ralphie. Getting old is a pain in the asx. You get up in the morning with aches you've never had before, walk more than normal and you start limping, you watch your friends slowly die, family die, see friends ill and have difficulty moving anymore, etc. It's lonely getting old as you slowly lose friends and family. As the adage states, you need to be brave to get old.

'Twas a bad enough reading through Ralphie's post w/o having you chime in with additional 'considerations', yeeeew Bottomless Black Hole of Misery!!!

Nutz to this! I'm going to have 'me' lunch and then head out on 'me' daily (if it doesn't rain) 3-mile-long 'semi-speed walk' around the park...which I will probably follow up with a 2-hour-long NAP... ('Joking about the nap.)

Curse you, Ralphie! 'See what you've started?! :skep :tongue

I love that commercial--it gets me every time. I'm also a motorcycle guy, so this one appealed to me, too:

Whether it's a car or a motorcycle, I'll bet all of us have had one that means so much more to us than the economic value.

Neither, sir. You should instead learn to recognize 'levity' when you read it:

lev·i·ty

/ˈlevədē/

noun

noun: levity; plural noun: levities

humor or frivolity, especially the treatment of a serious matter with humor or in a manner lacking due respect.
"as an attempt to introduce a note of levity, the words were a disastrous flop"

synonyms: lightheartedness, high spirits, vivacity, liveliness, cheerfulness, cheeriness, humor, gaiety, fun, jocularity, hilarity, frivolity, amusement, mirth, laughter, merriment, glee, comedy, wit, wittiness, jollity, joviality
"without some occasional levity, the working environment is no better than a sweatshop"

antonym: seriousness

:wink

Great ad. I ride motorcycles too, and if at the 100th Sturgis motorcycle rally I have a heart attack on a twisty road in the Black Hills and plunge off a cliff, that's beats having one in a wheelchair.

Riding with one picture tied on the back and one on the front of the motorcycles,..., priceless !

And, perhaps you should recognize something that is "tongue-in--cheek" -
