I took my 67 Shelby out to the Galpin Ford motorsports show in SoCal over the weekend & saw this ,there was no information posted on the car, but it was clearly owned by the dealership.I could tell by the interior it's based on one of our 05 06 GT's & didn't know if it was a concept car or a custom by Galpin maybeIMG_5200.jpegIMG_5201.jpegIMG_5203.jpegIMG_5204.jpeg

Yes galpin did a wide body gt. Bought a few 05-06 and salted them away and did the wide body mods to order... Don't know how many, if any, were actually sold.

Ok thanks & weird that they didn't make them until 2014

Saw this car back in the day at SEMA (2013 maybe other times too, cant remember) I was not impressed. If fact was more thinking, what a bummer to cut up what was a nice car.

It is very very difficult to “do better “ than what the OEM DESIGN STUDIOS and OEM engineers release.
When you have teams like we had at Ford working the 2003 Ford Centennial , 2005/2006 Ford GT ….with Pardo, Ressler, Theodore, Coletti, et al working on every detail in the Studio , it is difficult to do one better.

If Galpin and Ruffian can make up headlights, why not anyone else?
I'd like to see more of that Mustang

yup cut up butcher job, too few out there and too valuable to do this to one let alone several!

Ironically, Galpin does the absolute best wide body Mustangs. All-steel and perfectly symmetrical. And they paint the entire car so you don't have 3 different colors on final product like a famous Las Vegas shop does.

Interesting - I Just tried to buy one of theirs in the collection. 7000+- miles, It had never been register so who every buys it will be the first owner. I think they told me it was #7. Could not get the right price unfortunately so I had to move on. Interesting though. I think they have a few they are harvesting. Nice people, very responsive.

Why me with petfection?
Also, I doubt that car was wind tunnel tested
