What about a Tune Only?

Well, after snow and being on a family vacation, I FINALLY drove the car post tune today.

It may be in my head, but there definitely is more oomff, especially from 30 to 90, although I have no objective data. The car seems to "rumble" a bit more at idle too.

Since my car is broken in (over 5000 miles) with the tune, it should be about 610-620 at the crank since with the free flow X Pipe exhaust By George above, the crank HP for his car would be about 650.

I'm following the instructions below (using a Torrie tune) and when I go to "Program vehicle" it seems to get stuck on "verifying supporting files"???
DBK was right, even a monkey can do this.

1. Leave car off.
2. Find plug uner the left driver dash.
3. Plug SCT tuner in, it automatically comes on.
4. It should be preloaded with GT Tune.
5. Scholl down to desired program-MAX Power.
6. It tells you to turn on key-not engine.
7. Program downloads.

It starts, but I can't drive it, it is snowing today for the first time in 10 years!:confused

Now I know how Pockets felt all Winter.

See Torrie for this cheap HP upgarade- over 600 hp now!

So have you driven it yet?
How different does it feel?

FYI I have more pulley / tuner packages in stock $999.

For anyone that hasn't modified their car and is considering a pulley/tune, I can't recommend Torrie enough. His tune really wakes the car up and makes it much quicker and more responsive. Aside from that, his service and support are second to none. Can't thank him enough for all his help!

Thank you for the kind words.

I second that. My car runs fantastic.

I just had a 3.4L whipple installed and Torrie did the remote tuning with the local dyno shop. Torrie is the only person I would want to work with. He is very accommodating, fast and professional. When it comes to tuning GT's, Torrie is the best.

Thank you both.

BONY

Gentlemen,

I always love it when an old thread pops up and I see Bony weighing in. Our Moderator Emeritus put up over 12,000 posts in just 3.5 years, 3500 posts a year. That’s almost 10 posts a day, 7 days a week. He read everything, saw everything, and responded to everything. PLUS, a ton of PM’s and email correspondence with members. Coming from a guy with a full time job, a wife, and a rediculous amount of volunteer work with multiple organizations like Rotary. Hard to describe to new members who didn’t meet or know him before his accidental death 10 years ago. God Bless America.
