Has anyone installed a water-methanol injection system by Snow Performance on their GT? Here is the link http://www.snowperformance.net/products.php?p_cat=204

I am considering this system to achieve much higher octane rating. Best gasoline where I live is 91 octane.

Any input is much appreciated :thumbsup

It will work for detonation suppression allowing you to run more boost, or a more aggressive tune.

55 gallon drums of race gas my friend. It sounds bad, but depending on how much you drive, the jump from $4 a gallon to $8 or $12 isn't that shocking.

Kind of tethered to the drum. What did you run for the Utah Fastpass? I don't think you had a support vehicle
with a few drums of C16.

Dave, BTY, did you set a new VMax during the event?

Have you ever installed this system on any of your vehicles? Are there any down falls with the system?

They had a pump with 110 at MMP. Filled it up with C16 before I left. On the road ran 91 and turned the boost down to a friendlier level. Ran fine.

Was only allowed to run it up to to 173. Fastest car there by 13 mph at least. Rick's Whipple car with 3.90s hit 160.

Jay,
I think Whipple has done some mod motors with Meth-injection. I do not think they make any kind of kit, but they at least might have insight for you.

Hey DBK...so if I understand correctly your GT with 110 octane is faster than a GT running a Whipple? Or does your GT also have a Whipple installed?

Sounds good! Who should I ask for when I call them?

Was that a 1/2 mile run? I thought they allowed entrants to go to Vmax.

BTW, DBK as a Heffner TT mod.

Ricks car will go faster next time. Now that I know you have to be at 80 mph when coming out of the corner. Also I did not put in the track tune I had. I was running 91 when I arrived and 100 when I left. Dave's car was the TT.

I would probably just ask for Dustin Whipple. He should have some answers.

It was on the 3500 ft straight. I think we were likely using about 2200 feet or so. They canned the top speed deal after the Enzo was totaled 2 years ago. Bummer.

Is that a challenge? I'll be bringing Hoosiers and a real boost gauge so I can crank it to 24 next year. :biggrin

The Snow kit is probably as good as any, the only thing I don't like is injecting into the blower.

Agreed and the inter-cooler is of equally of concern.

I have meth injection on my TT. Got an extra 75 hp at the top end with the meth, probably because of lower iat due to the meth cooling the charge air.
