We all got together this morning at C&C - Lee, nice meeting you and Herb, shame on you for inviting me to breakfast and not showing up - Geeez!!

Anyways, a nice fellow by the name of John Kim (claimed he worked for Camillo) steps up to complement the GT and asked if I had met Camillo - he noticed the signature on the car. After some small talk, he tells me that some Ford executive was working with the design team on a mini GT concept - Rear engined at $50K. He said that the concept lived for a while and then the bean counters killed it.

Soooo, did Ford do this and does anyone have any renderings they can post? Where they trying to compete with Lotus and why would they erode the Mustang sales?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Ford works on all kinds of shit that never comes to fruition. Whatever that guy was talking about, it was never even remotely close to being a real vehicle.

As a stockholder I would prefer to think that they are working on many concepts to increase value.... :)

I STILL wunna see that "Forty-nine" concept car put into production! DANG IT! I like that car!:banana:banana:banana

I want to see those European Ford pocket rockets over here. With attitudes in this country about small, fuel efficient vehicles changing quickly, now is the time to get these great little cars to market (as I know Ford is trying to do).
