Even worse I have seen 2 local nissan Zs with Veyron paint jobs. The first one had me for a half a second at night from the rear. Would love to catch a pic to post.

I saw it drive through San Clemente today. I passed it in my GT while going home. Jay
 
I don't see this being any worse than the GT 500 painted to match a heritage GT...

Before we stand in judgment of the poor, misguided Porsche owner, we should not diregard the historical "truth" behind the Gulf colors. Ford never owned the colors, John Wyer, the privateer who campaigned the GT's in LeMans had the Gulf sponsorship which carried forward to the Porshce 917's he campaigned from 1970 on after the GT's were basically banned. I saw a picture of Boxter painted in the Gulf colors in 1999 before the Ford GT was even a dream. I think it's cool (However, I wouldn't paint my GT3 that color myself!)
