I read an article in a British magazine AUTOCAR comparing many cars at their top speed including the Veyron, GT, Viper, lambo, etc. Obviously the Veyron was the fastest with a top speed of 250.
The interesting part for me was the Veyron's data from standing start to 300 kph(186 mph) in 18.2 seconds. I went back and reviewed some info from Road and Track when Hennesey's Viper went 210 in the standing mile. There was a table showing time vs mph and near as I could figure at 18.2 seconds the Viper was going about 185.
Now, I know its unfair to measure stock against modified vehicles, butttttttt.
The Ford Gt with no internal engine mods and a switch from supercharger to turbos will put out the same hp as Henneseys viper. The Viper in Road and Track was a rag top with a cd of neg 5000, soooooooooo, with maybe 25 to 30 k in mods(no internal engine change) the Ford Gt will probably be faster, than the 1.4 mil Bugatti in a 1 mile run. Any thoughts.
