I went to see the Stones in Vegas last night (11th May). The show was awesome. I thought the ticket was atrociously priced but had to see them one more time. I saw them on their 2006 "Bigger Bang" tour and it was awesome, also at the MGM in Vegas [Side story: Jagger's dad passed away at 93, Jagger flew to see him on Friday and was back in Vegas on Saturday.]
The MGM Grand Arena is the best place I've ever seen concerts and if a band is playing I will go there to see the show because I've figured out where to sit and know that the sound will be awesome.
Concert summary:
Jagger can still prance around on the stage like he did 50 years ago. All of them sounded like they did then, except at the end Jagger's voice started to falter, but the last (reprise) song of I Can't Get No Satisfaction was awesome.
Charlie Watts I think is my favorite. Sorry Keith. Yeah drums.
Richards. Yes!!! I think he was better this time than last.
Ronnie Wood is the unsung Stone. He's just there, but you can't do without him. Not a showman, just a great guitarist.
So if you get to see this show, go to it. The tickets are pricey. "Discounted seats" to fill up the stadiums are apparently a rumor (as stated in the Vegas paper) started by Jagger to keep ticket scalpers from doubling the prices of already pricey tickets.
