Yeah, Bony, it's often better to probably just run it through insurance and let the adjusters and auditors have at it, but keep a watchful eye.
Based on the facts, sounds like the right thing should happen here. Just make sure you write down the names and parties and promises while it is still fresh in your mind.
Since legal terms were being thrown around, I just wanted to add whatever light I could, in an attempt to help Todd. I didn't want him to think he might have an unobtainable standard to meet, if that might not be the case.
I am no fan of certain aspects of the system. Just trying to help.
Since there is so much general hatred and mistrust of lawyers, it's often the case that many remain silent...
Hi Randy,
Many of my closest friends are members of the bar. I just think often times lay people jump the gun and charge out of the gate screaming "lets sue the bas-turds." Todd's case is pretty simple, damage occured in front of witnesses, we know who drove the car, we know he did not contribute to the damage, we also know that the casino is not governed by state or federal laws oustide a treaty they agreed to. Sadly, Todd will waste time and money and will never be 100% whole. Have I missed anything?
God Bless America,
daniel
p.s. yesterday a young kid covered with pimples drove the front of my car over the edge of a curb at the car wash. I spotted the spoiler and air dam making contact, pointed it out to him and the manager. When I back up, the spoiler was damaged. Cost $600+ The car wash is owned by a friend, I already had an estimate. They will pay for a pos loaner and the repair. The time I loose getting the estimate, bringing the car back for the repair, and picking it up will be for my own account. So is life.
