I just picked my 2005 GT from my local Ford dealer for its 19th annual service there. The master tech said XT-75W90-QGT oil has been superseded by XY 75W140 QL oil. Accurate? Input appreciated. BTW-39,000 miles.

Not accurate as far as I know. The right fluid is readily available, so why not use it?

Better get that stuff out of there....

Gary, there was big fhread about this within the last year. I think that is the wrong stuff. BTW, are you still in Indiana?

Don't let them touch it if that's what their "master tech" said. XT-75W90-QGT has not been superseded and is still available. I ordered a case of 4 Qts for $200 + shipping a few months ago and did it myself because my local Ford dealer was about to do the same but using Red Line product because he thought it was a "higher quality" product..

Ford OEM Parts currently has 12 in stock.

They cancelled my order. They don't ship liquids.

At least that is why they cancelled me out.

I ordered a case of 4 from Pfeiffer Lincoln in December last year. Ordered one more quart of transaxle oil XT75W90QGT and 10 quarts of motor oil XO5W50QGT from RockAuto around the same time. All were shipped to California.

Is Pfeiffer Lincoln and OEM parts one and the same?

No. I referenced OEM because their website showed availability when I searched.

copy that

These guys will ship;

Tasca Ford will ship too. Their price is 50.30
