Just received my GT last Sunday, awesome ride. However I do hear a rattling noise near the rear of the car. When I depress the clutch it goes away. Does anyone have a recommendation for a different gear oil to solve this noise issue, or do I have a more serious problem?

Thanks,

Might be a loose washer in somewhere. Those things do occurr.

There has already been a post on this. Your sympton is called " Neutral Gear Rattle" this is just the nature of the beast. There is no cause for alarm or to be worried.

BTW, the corvette C5s do the same thing, at least mine did.
The GM dealers kept telling me it was a documented exhaust rattle.

I agree with Frank (some Vipers have it too) but the interesting thing is that not all cars of the affected model have it so it makes one wonder what the variable is.

I too have posted on this , ive noticed though if the car comes from a colder climate that if you let the car really warm up before you go ,it happens alot less frequent. :thumbsup gtjoey1314
