I agree with your decision to retire the GT from track duty. I bought a Ferrari 360 F1 for the track and decided to retire it as well due to the same reasons you cited. I bought a new 2007 Lotus Exige S for the track just after Christmas. But, I have to say that you should also consider a Porsche 911, as there are many used, track prepped and race prepped cars that are well cared for. I have used my GT3 at the track and love it there, and plan to continue using it for some of the track events. Don't underestimate the fun that you can find in a car that may appear to be on paper to be "underpowered". If it handles well, then you will have a blast. I prefer to leave the awesome power launches for the drag strip.

CMOODY32, how fast is the Ultima. Your model has 100+hp more than the one that set the 0-100-0 record, and it apears to be lighter. How fast is it from 0-60? Any idea how many acceleration g's you can pull?

They have set the 0-100-0 record 3 times. Once with a 640 hp, then with a 685 hp and then with the 720 hp.

Right now the car will do 0-60 in 2.6 sec, 0-100 in 5.3 sec, 0-100-0 in 9.4, and the 1/4 mile in 9.9 at 143 mph.

The best part of the car is the handeling around the track.:willy
