Tough day in the office

We have at least one, maybe more, orthopods here that are biting their tongues not giving medical advice on a forum :)

Follow what your doctor says. I'm surprised there isn't some physical therapy already in the mix.

Good luck,

Hope you can come out and play with our car when the weather gets nicer. Looks like it's snowing in Longmont (or will soon).

Well, this particular 'pseudo' orthopod is "giving advice" based on his own experience and what his surgeon told him!

I can't imagine any doc okaying bike riding, etc., so soon after breaking ones back! :willy

Buuut, I'm a pansy, so what do I know...

Thank you Otis and you too Larry. My first visit was to my spine doc at Spine West in Boulder. I don't have a general practice doc but I do have a spine doc ha. He knows me well from some other "incidents". He did want me to stay off the sled for 8 weeks. I ask about riding my bike after a week if the pain was subsiding and while he was not excited, it was more due to the risk if I fell. I am not doing any crazy MT biking just riding laps on a hill on smooth pavement and not really pushing it hard. There is no discomfort and no jarring so I thought I was okay. I am suppose to speak with my doc tomorrow so I will ask his advice. I definitely won't be dropping cliffs for a long time and am taking care to discontinue any activities that bring even the slightest discomfort. I welcome any expert advice anyone can give. Thanks again for your concern. It is appreciated.

By my calculations Tony, the back will be fully healed by the time the GT40 is just coming out of the shop. I am looking forward to some great drives this summer with you and Jim. What a blast!

So what color will it be this year?

I am leaning towards replicating either Shaun Lynn's P1025 aka Tesie or my friend Martin Gough's beautiful Linden Green Southern GT No 8. I have't ruled out leaving it red or coming up with something entirely original either.

Quit admiring, and start buying and driving!

Mike- just caught your news today too. Glad to hear you're apparently doing better than what could have been. Hope it's all just a memory by summer, you're going to need to stay spry to un-wedge out of that 7/8 scale car of yours. I'll be anxious to see the mods on the GT. Take (better) care.
