does anyone know for sure the top speed of a 2006 Gt. I have read everything from 202 to 212.

A really really long banked track in Italy. One of the few places you can consistently hit speeds like that. I've heard a ton of cool stories from people who were there. Needless to say, from day one, the Europeans were stunned at what the blue oval car put down.

Although the GT is rated at 550 HP, a lot of folks are measuring 520 - 530 at the wheels, which means over 620 HP. No wonder they were surprised. :eek

it made 212 at Nardo which is a curved track they said if it were straight it could get up to 215 and the engineers that worked on the GT said you could raise the rev limiter to get 218.

Nardo is a 12km circle slightly banked... I drove there in 02 setting a SUV world record with a top speed of 282 Km/h in a 607HP Kleemann Mercedes ML.

I would like to TT my GT and go there again..))
