I know this isn't Ford GT related but it is about speed, and there is a relationship there.

This video makes doing 212 on the Autoban look sane. These guys are really nuts!! :willy

There's so little room for error in some of those moves and at those speeds - frightening stuff.....

It look like it was "only" 285 km/h or about 177mph. Still plenty fast considering it was a public road with traffic. Germany has some of the best drivers I have seen on the public roads. It is like clockwork how the traffic flows and no one is hogging the passing lane. At the west coast of the US I would never drive that fast in traffic. It is very likely that someone would change lanes when you are about to pass and at a differential speed of over 100 mph the results would not be pretty!

This fellow has called himself 'Ghost Rider' - hence the title - he is a 'legend' among the not-so-bright members of the Suzuki Hayabusa (the fastest production motorcycle) community.

He lives in Norway and the linked video is one of the more tame ones. They generally involve him getting into high speed pursuit with the police (he takes the license plates off his bike and rides with the lights off at night (on an all black bike). His Hayabusa is turbo charged and is putting out close to 500bhp... in essence a total idiot with no regard for the safety of other road users or the public as a whole :thumbsdow

Black Ice the one guy that is going 177 is getting passed like he is standing still by the guy pulling the wheelie at probably close to 200 mph, what do you think a 200 mph power wheelie feels like?

Jamie, I suspect it feels like having your testicles cut off with a sharp knife and seeing them served in a light salad to an unappreciative buffet queue.

Just a guess.

Ha, wait till rally goers have to drive across Missouri! There is no left lane, just left lane drivers.

But, there I would use a 4 WD and make my own road.

I missed the passing motorcycle. I guess I was watching the speed an the other bike and the pass was so fast I didn't see it. It probably feels exhilarating doing a wheeling at 200 mph, until something goes wrong and then you see the last few seconds of your life in slow motion.

I don't know if any of you have crash a motorcycle. I have at about 40 mph into the side of a mountain, luckily I didn't have any serious injuries.

The guy is from Sweden where the maximum speed on the highway is 110 Km/h... :ack

See you in jail!!
