I just updated that video with about 9 more minutes added to it. I also checked the settings and it is set for "Public" viewing, so let me know if it still doesn't work. This is my first video, so I am very new to the GoPro & YouTube protocols. Perhaps someone can help me?

597 miles closer to Rally X. Seattle to Butte. 2500 to go.

First across eastern Montana then N. Dakota and into Minn. today.

A change of direction ..700 miles to Minot ND. Tomorrow 500 or so to Duluth, then across the UP and south to Dearborn.

Boy has Oil change northern ND. It was an eyes wide open experience today.

Travel Note - ND Hwy 2 from Montana border is mostly one lane, under construction most of the way to Stanley. 70 miles or so. I am headed to Duluth, across Michigan U.P. and then south to Dearborn.

Anything to by-pass Chicago! I like to travel roads that were paid for once. Something like 10 money grabbing stops from one side of town to the other. And not one road, the last time through, was not under re-construction. And it's probably been that way since the day after they were opened in the 50's.

August 11: After running over Red Mountain Pass, I continued down through Silverton and over Coal Bank Pass (10,640 ft) and down to Durango. From there I turned east and drove over US 160 to Pagosa Springs, and then headed south on US 84 down to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Here's a video from just south of Pagosa Springs over Sargent Pass and crossing the Continental Divide -

Ralphie,

This what I got when I clicked on your video.

I have absolutely no idea why you are getting that message. It plays for me without interruption, but I believe you! I've gone back to the edit and re-saved each video as open to the public, and I have no idea who SME might be. The videos are taken on public roads from a car known to the public, and through non-security areas only. If it continues, I'll contact YouTube.

One thought - perhaps its the CDs I have playing lightly as the videos are recorded?

August 11: As I drove down to Santa Fe, New Mexico, I passed through some interesting scenery above and along the Rio Chama (Chama river basin). The first video is short - and I actually drove back to shoot it as I thought it was impressive. It was shot at location "A" below -

The next video starts at location "B" and continues down US 84 along the Rio Chama almost into Española.

Once I got to Santa Fe, I headed northeast over Glorieta Pass to Las Vegas, New Mexico. A short 552 mile day. This was the starting point for me, as I intended to follow the tracks of the old Santa Fe Railway from Las Vegas over Raton Pass and across southeast Colorado and southwestern Kansas all the way to Emporia, Kansas.

Video works fine .... although the music in the background would indicate an old man driving ..... what´s up with that? :wink:biggrin

Ralphie,

The first videos played well, then the SME problem video, and now these last 2 played well. Went back and the SME video still won't play.

On to Hutchinson

August 12/13: I left Las Vegas, New Mexico and traveled over Raton Pass into southeastern Colorado & southwestern Kansas, following the Santa Fe RR trackage to Trinidad, La Junta, & Lamar in Colorado, and Garden City, Dodge City & Hutchinson in Kansas, for about 550 miles. I stopped in Hutchinson and spent a couple of nights, and a full day with "Lightning," our Vince & Pattie, who treated me wonderfully. The GT picked up some hitchhikers along the route (remind anyone of Texas, @ Rally IV)

We spent the morning of the 13th at the Cosmosphere, an air & space museum akin to the Smithsonian. Here are a few pics there -

August 16/17: I spent the last two days driving to Virginia, 825 miles on Friday (08/14), and another 355 on Saturday (08/15), landing in Lexington, Virginia. There, I was able to give the car a good cleanup. Then, on Sunday, I drove to Roanoke, VA, and a little bit east to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and drove the northern section up to Waynesboro - here's a video of a section of the Parkway:

I then drove to my cousin's farm near Staunton, VA, and spent Monday with the family. It's a large (2,500 acre) farm, where they raise Black Angus. Here's a vid of the entrance and driveway:

August 18/19/20: On Tuesday, I drove through Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania to Geneva, Ohio, and spent a couple of nights, another 510 miles. Purchasing some gardening tools, I did some cleanup around the grave stones of my grandparents and uncles, who are buried in a small rural cemetery nearby. Then, yesterday (08/20), I drove some local roads to the Cleveland area, and then along the shore of Lake Erie (US 6) to Sandusky, OH, (http://www.fordgtforum.com/forums/s...ted-on-the-Web?p=402313&viewfull=1#post402313) and then on to Michigan, where I dropped off the GT at The GT Guy, LLC, for an oil & belt change.
