I had both an R and GT3 touring at same time. Honestly, in spite of the ‘experts’ saying how much more ‘special’ the R was, I really couldn't tell much difference so I sold the R and kept the PTS Touring.

Why didn't you sell the Touring?

As I mentioned above, in spite of the ‘experts’ saying how much more ‘special’ the R was, I really couldn't tell much difference between it and the GT3 Touring. My Touring was paint to sample with a custom factory houndstooth interior (specced by me), whereas my R was a little more garden variety - GT silver with black leather interior. That being said, I sold the R and kept the PTS Touring. Both are great cars IMHO. I personally just didn't see the price premium for the R, though others certainly prefer it.
