The cost to remove the subwoofer and replace with standard trim

I went to a dealer today to price the parts necessary to replace the subwoofer. The part number is 40374A. Now for the suprise. The price for this piece of plastic is a whopping $1641.67. The 6 bolts to put it on are $4.75 apiece, but I suspect that the old ones with work.

Heh heh, reminds me of the $800+ center console for the Viper. Its "worth" about $20, but if you only make a few,........the customer picks up the development and tooling costs.
