Tachometer needle fell off

Saturday my tach started acting funny, slow to respond and jerky in movements. Yesterday I was driving and the arm and connector in the center fell off. It is wedged between the glass and where a pin or something comes out of the center of the tach.

Anyone else have any issues with their tachometer? I guess that I will have to find a place to take it in here in the L.A. area to get replaced. From the time it started acting strange to falling off was about 1-2 hours of driving time. Only 4,400 miles on the car, been driving the car for about 10 months now.

Darn Motor Meter brand, should be a warranty item. I wish they would have installed Smiths Guages like the original GT 40's had.

*Damn* that's a sign of a great engine. You can wind that motor 'till the tach needle falls off. That's cool!
