Has anybody done anything or figured out how to get rid of this rediculous sub-woofer?

And btw, what moron decided that would be a good idea in the first place? :thumbsdow

What are my options?

Tell us how you really feel :lol

Search in the tech section. There were a couple threads about it, and people have bought the little storage pouch and replaced it. Talk to Analogdesigner...

Subwoofer removal

mardyn,

Here is an old link:

The machine shop will have two complete sets (clear lexan cover with black powder-coated aluminum bezel) done by next week.

I will post some images of the new setup by this weekend.

sub woofer elimination

There are many previous threads that discuss the sub woofer elimination. I posted photos to show where I placed the OEM Mac amp. I bought the Ford non-Mac panel. Jay's clear panel is a great way to go also. I haven't noticed a lower quality sound without the sub woofer with my oldies music. Hip hop music quality would most likely be compromised but then again it deserves it.

I think the clear panel deal looks pretty cool, but I think I'd rather just have the standard Ford non-mac part. What did that thing cost Ed?
