Hey again, I posted a while back that my dad is looking for a Ford GT, and he still really wants one. The only thing is he doesnt like buying from a dealership. If there is any privite sellers out there, please email me with some pictures and information about your car. My email is

Just a suggestion - from all of the feedback I've seen, I think buying a GT from Shelby Smith at Elite Autos would be more like buying a GT from a "friend" than from a "dealer". He knows the cars well, usually has a selection of primo cars to choose from, and is a GT enthusiast himself.

You might want to at least give him a calland talk to him.

Ben.. I've worked with Shelby as a GT buyer and seller. Both transactions went flawlessly. Since then, Shelby has had quite a few deals done with forum members. He only deals in primo cars, it would be worth the call. I highly recommend him.

I just bought a car from Shelby myself. I would agree here on all points and just add the in my experience Shelby is not looking for the maximum $$ he can get from a car but tries to sell at a fair market value... add to this that he usually has a good selection of cars and it would be foolish not to look into it.

The only cars that are selling CHEAP are wrecked. I have one of those I can sell you too. :rofl

I also bought from Shelby, my car had 5000 miles but is PERFECT, not a rock chip or flaw anywhere on the car.

Good guy, I went to high school with his Dad...who was a little nuts back in the day..:biggrin
