Steering wheel badge decal?

i have no doubt that your repair is top notch. the issue will be shipping an explosive over the border. i am not sure how to make it work without being buried in paperwork/red tape.

I hear you and agree. I dont want to mess with shipping it over the boarder either. The sticker is a decent fix and many people liked them, but there were a few people that did not, so thats why we do not offer them anymore and came up with the actual fix as a permanent solution to the problem. As far as I know, everyone has been very pleased with the latest solution.

Many thanks and a tip o'the hat to Ed Sims for this sweet solution. Not only a nice cover up, but I think the red and blue add a tasteful dash of color and GT40 heritage. :biggrin

Looks perfect.

Looks nice Gary.

Maybe a red/blue shifter ball next to keep the theme going? :biggrin

Ed Sims is the man!
Heidi's not bad either!

Looks great. Ed is always eager to help.

I made a similar decal in black for my car. Still do plan to have the badge repaired at some point.

FENZO's button was the worst one we have seen. We were not even sure we were going to be able to fix it, but it turned out pretty good considering how bad it actually was. Also, many others have had corrosion on the raised letters and we were able to get it out. This is the only case so far that I can recall that it didnt come out 100%. I think his corrosion was so deep that if we went any deeper we would have sanded into the lettering. Every other one we have done has turned out perfect with zero flaws once refinished. Many people on here will attest to this.

The one that Shelby did for me was 100% perfect!!!!!

PM me your address & I'll mail it to you (assuming I can find it).
RALPHIE,

So, a few years ago, I was fortunate to have my Ford dealer remove and replace my steering wheel button.

Fortunate, because I got to see it delaminate not once. But twice. And this time, it's gotten really bad.

Thanks Ed for the stickers. I put them on tonight after saving them for a long time.

See above post. My posting of photos has been a bit wonky lately.

Can someone point me to a decal or appliqué to cover my ugly corroded badge?

I don't want to go the air bag removal route for a replacement badge.

I have about 7 that are 2 3/8" to cover the center perfectly.
I have them on ebay now - 3/9/17.

Mine has that crackled look also and is uniform like yours, so I like it. No one has ever commented that it's not stock looking. Most people think it came from the factory with the crackled look.

I think Shelby has had the ultimate fix for this for a long time.

The airbag assembly was sent to Shelby and he refinished the emblem. He did mine years ago and it's still perfect.

Yes, we have repaired hundreds. All with perfect results and not a single one has delaminated after our fix
