Ford GT 3.9 gear ratio special
Well, we are heading into the winter/storage months of the year and we wanted to put together some special prices for the owner’s that might be interested in the 3.9 gear ratio. During the summer I spoke with quite a few people that said they wanted the 3.9 gears, but they didn’t want to be without their cars for an extended period of time. So, with that in mind, I have put together some special prices on the parts and the labor so that we can get some more of these gears going.
To start off the specials we have reduced the cost of the labor. We are going to offer a 20% discount on the overall labor. There are two ways for us to do the work. Option A You can ship us just the transaxle. With just the transaxle in hand we are looking at 16 hours of labor. Option B is to ship us the entire car. If we have the entire car at our facility it takes us an additional 10 hours of labor to remove and re-install the gearbox. Because we have done quite a few of these swaps now our tech’s have developed special tools and tricks to get the work done faster. That is where the additional 20% labor discount comes from.
Then of course there are the parts themselves. Previously the gear ratio parts cost $7,381.00. This new winter special price will be $6,643.00.
This special will start today, and run through December 15th. If you are interested in the 3.9 gear ratio but can’t have the work performed just yet, that’s fine. We can hold the parts for you but they will need to be paid for.
