NO AFFILIATION WITH THE VENDOR/DEALER/DISTRIBUTOR or whatever he is, I just saw this on another forum when I was looking at stuff for my 911 turbo and thought it'd be as interesting to some of you as it is to me.
Similar in design to the Lambo airlift, this system was developed, tested and built by BagYard for Cargraphic for the 911's. Not much info has yet been released on the HyLift system but you can read more here: http://www.airsociety.net/forums/showthread.php/684-static___side-of-juice-please.
I've spoken with the guy, his email is on that above thread, and it should cost about $3,500 (including automatic lowering at speed) for my turbo with my PSS9's and likely about the same on custom perches for the GT with Alex's T&A Penske shocks (I don't know if it would work on Alex's perches) or any of your cars with adjustable coilovers. He says the lift tower DOES take some extra height, so depending how much room there is on the shock tower, you *might* want shorter springs. Looking at my Penskes, I think that there's more than enough thread. BTW, the thread they use is M42x1.5. Anyone know if that's the Penske thread too?
Check out Walter Rorhl's comparison here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7XZKVXhRV0 He's actually 3/10th of a second FASTER with the system, so effectively no change. And dang, that guy is CONSISTENT!!!!
Anyway, it looks like a really cool product and it's WAY cheaper than the KW versions (if I recall, KW's are about 10k - then again, that might include the coilover assembly, I don't know).
