Texas Mile

Additional Pictures Saturday
Starting line- New Camaro-New Shelby 500 Mustang in a Disc-jocky mile contest. Both cars were highly modified and fast. This was the only two car run that I say. Guess who won 2 out of three times.-------Mustang by 10-15 lenghts. A blow out and the crowd went wild. Check the bluebonnets along the runway.
And one last picture of the MAIN MAN Chip making an early run on Sat. 218.6. Notice the early morning due and moisture coming off the track and not an engine problem as some thought. Thats all of the decent pictures as I don't do well with a fancy camera. October will be very interesting this year. The GT's will be ready! Tomy Hamon PS I can still see that grin on Chips face all the way bact to Scottsdale.

blue tape

I have never tracked a car, so sorry if this is a newbie question. I see that some of the cars have blue tape and others don't, is this just regular painters blue tape or something else. Also, it is just for protection from rocks and other road debris? Thanks

blue tape is regular old painters tape.

2 reasons to put it on ---

keep safe from rock, bug damage to the paint etc.

Or to close off gaps in body panels for added aero smoothness.
