Here are the details for this Sunday, Nov. 4, SoCal Fall GT Run.

Meeting Time: 8:45am. Departure: 9:30am SHARP

Meeting Place: Secure RV & Storage
18949 Valley Blvd. Bloomington, CA 92316

This location is owned by a couple of our GT brethren, and they have agreed to host our start up spot. Provided: Ample parking, Coffee, donuts, Mens/Ladies Room. Not Provided: GAS!

I suggest you exit the I 10 on Riverside, just east of the meeting point, and fill up with gas at the Chevron station on Riverside and Valley. Then you head west on Valley to the meeting spot.We will work our way west on the I 10 to Orange Blvd., where we will exit, head north to Hwy 38 and start our way to Big Bear Lake. There will be a few stops going into Big Bear, to gather up the group and a photo spot.

In Big Bear Lake area we will stop to stretch our legs and provide a pit stop if needed.

Then we head towards Lake Arrowhead Village by way of Hwy 18's "Rim of the World" scenic drive. We will enter Lake Arrowhead Village and park together near Papagayos Mexican Restaurant where we will lunch. There we can eat and wander the village before continuing west through Blue Jay, back to Hwy 18, towards Hwy 138 to Crestline, then down the backside of the mountain to Silverwood Lake, where we will have another photo shoot. The final sprint will be on Hwy 138 to I 15 in the Cajon Pass, where there is a gas station/restroom stop for those in need before heading back home.

This is a terrific and scenic drive.

Just have to check the date with the boss.

I don't have a boss anymore!

Looks like an amazing run!

the Harley Love Ride is on the 21st......

the Harley Love Ride is on the 21st......

Hhmmm, maybe we could join them..:biggrin

It'd be a bit weird, but you could......George Thorogood & the Destroyers, the Strawberry Alarm Clock, and the Cannned Heat!!!! Come one, come all......

Kidding Wizard.
But those bands are dynamite.

Yeah I know, but the way the event works the ticket gets you in the concert, and doesn't have much to do with the actual ride.....just sayin'.....this is the best bands they've had in a while......I'm looking forward to it........

I'm in..................GO BLU

All dates ok! No boss.

Kevin, that first Saturday, the 20th, is bad for me as well......the Fall Fling Mopar show.....we like old muscle cars too!

Either of the days the following weekend are good for me.....now if only I had a car.........

OK Ross, thanks.
We'll see how the date preference go the next week or so.
Surely you will have the Red Rocket by October 27,28!!!

Hopefully (if the weather holds), I'll be at Willow Springs on the 27th/28th.

I'll be in Monterey 20th and 21rst. but the 27th or 28th would be fun.

I'd like to make the run, but put me down as a maybe. I'm traveling 4 of the 5 weeks this month. The 27th/28th might work. -marc

Can I offer a suggestion? Here is an alternative run, which I have done several times with the MINI COOPER guys. They rock and usually know the best runs. I would suggest going up the back side of Big Bear, HWY 38 (Mill Creek Hwy). Exit 109 north off of I-10 to E. Lugonia Street. Follow Lugonia to merge with Mentone Avenue and meet at the 76 Station, 1702 Mentone Boulevard. Mentone Avenue is a continutation of Lugonia towards Hwy 38. Progress along HWY 38, with no one on the road into Big Bear entering from the East, great vistas and roads. B's BBQ is a great place for lunch, then take 18 back out, visit Arrowhead....... or take 330 back down to the I-10.

Then find one's way home from there.

Doc, I know that run and yes, it's a good one to be sure. Certainly something to consider, or do next year.
Bigger issue, will you be joining us this time????
NOVEMBER 4 is the date!

Hello Kevin,

It's Vince from Riverside. This seems like a great opportunity to meet some of the folks on the forum. Looks like November 4th sits well with everyone. I'm also going to run this by the boss and will get back to you soon if you don't mind an extra GT tagging along. Thanks for putting this together.

Regards,

Vince H.
