There is a nice show 10/4 in the town of Scarsdale, NY. The town is closed to traffic and all the spots are taken up by exotics(old and new), vintage cars, race cars, etc. Since the plans last Saturday fizzled in White Plains maybe us GT guys could make a showing. I just got off the phone with the organizer and if the weather cooperates it would be great for a GT get together. They generally park like cars together so that we could hang out. If anyone is interested, one of the organizers is Evan Cyglar and his e mail is [email protected]

Web site for the show is www.scarsdaleconcours.com

Click on registration and use password carshow . Funds raised from the show are donated to local charities.

Hi Stu....

If the weather holds, I'm in. I'll call Joey & Howie tomorrow.

Regards,
Jim

Jimmy,

Good for you to chime in...always weather permitting. The show organizer was hoping for a nice GT turnout... be nice to grant his wish.

Hey bro what's this "if it doesn't rain" nonsense. Get the GT up to the show. Stu's gona be lonesome with ya. Drag Joey along too. :lol

Ask the girls to make more GT cup cakes and they can hand them out to the Viper, Ferrari and Lambo owners. From the right seat in your GT.

Bet that "little act of kindness" would get someone's attention.

Go for it!

Jeff,

I'll go if it rains but I would be the only one there as they will cancel it... rain date is 10/11. Unfortunately if they have to postpone to the rain date I will be working Sunday 10/11.

No Friggen way ---cancel a car show because of rain? Pure Blasphemy!

Must be something about Gucci's don't do well when they get wet? Bet the socks will stay dry because they are still in the drawer at home.

I always though rain dates were for baseball games, Indy and Nascar races.

And spectators at the submarine races. :biggrin

Alright, I met Stu here last year when he parked next to me (I had my NSX, hadn't bought the GT yet, so I drooled on his, don't tell him he didn't see me do it!), this year's show is Sunday the 17th, and I plan on being there with the GT, a few friends will show up with their NSX's, c'mon and visit, it's a nice setting and some nice cars will be on display. Here's a link for the registration, although it's a little late:

Roger,

I plan on coming this year. Will b driving down with a friend who is bring his ACR viper, Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and hopefully one other GT owner from South Salem. What time do you plan on arriving? Stu

I should be there around 9am, I'll see if they'll keep a few "spaces" next to me for you and your friends. I hope the weather report holds!!!

So far the weather report is good for Sunday. If you are there by 9am save 4 places(my GT, another from South Salem, friends Viper, friends Porsche 911 GT RS. PM me your cell, I'll call when we are on the road. Stu

I just spoke to Gino. I think he and I will attend. :thumbsup

29 Chase Road, Scarsdale, New York

--

Coming North From NYC & Vicinity:

Hutchinson River Parkway to Weaver Street Exit #21

Right off exit at traffic light right on Weaver Street, stay straight through the five corners intersection as Weaver becomes Heathcote Road; at the end of Heathcote Rd. (five corner intersection with White Plains Post Rd 22) straight through onto Drake Road; Approx 1/4 mile at end of Drake go left into village on Scarsdale Avenue.
Coming South From White Plains and Connecticut:

Merrit or 684 south to Hutchinson River Parkway south to Weaver Street Exit
Right off exit at light onto Weaver stay straight through the five corners intersection as Weaver becomes Heathcote Road; At end of Heathcote Rd. (intersection with White Plains Post Rd 22) straight through onto Drake Road; approx 1/4 mile at end of Drake go left into village on Scarsdale Avenue.
From the Bronx River Parkway:

Downtown Scarsdale is easily accessible from the Bronx River Parkway. If you coming from the North take the Bronx Parkway to Exit 12 for East Parkway in Scarsdale. Continue on East Parkway until you can make a left hand turn on Christie Place. From Christie Place make a left hand turn onto Chase Road. Proceed on Chase Road until you reach the entrance to the Scarsdale Concours.
If you are coming from the South take the Bronx River Parkway to Exit 12 from E Parkway (Scarsdale / Crane Road). Turn right onto East Parkway then make a left at Christie Place. Proceed on Christie Place until the first left turn which is for Chase Road. Follow Chase Road to the entrance of the Scarsdale Concours.

This may turn out great...If you go to the website and register you are guaranteed a spot. They always try to keep brands together so if you guys register they should save spots and stick us together. Go to the website to register, Doug posted the info. I will call Evan Cyglar the founder of the event and let him know that a group is coming. I will be arriving around 9:15 or so. Roger probably a little earlier. It would be nice at the time that Roger or myself goes thru the entrance that we could again confirm we need multiple spots for our cars. As of now:

Roger
Stu
Doug
GT Joey
Gino
Dave Wiklow(someone I know in South Salem)

I will pm you guys my cell phone.

Stuey

GT Joey,

Roger posted directions coming from the South. They close off the usual access to the town so you need to enter from Chase road off of Crane as he indicates. If you plug the address into a GPS it will take you into the town the conventional way which is what they do not want.

Doug,

Coming from NJ, you could come over the GW to the cross bronx and the take Bronx River Pkway North and follow Rogers directions to the Crane Road exit.
