How bad of a hit to the front right of a GT would need a new chassis? Both front air bags have deployed. The right front door does not seem to close fully. Are chassis available?

If you look down a couple of threads, you may see this item has been adressed. Especially if it is the wreck on E-Bay.
Thanks Pete,but I still wonder if the chassis is available,and how much? Is there a workshop manual available from Ford?
You can buy a chasis from Ford. I think list is around $55K...you might be able to find one though people for around $40 or so...puts this car at the cost of a good used one really really really quick.

Exactly...thats what is boggling to me is the amount these wrecked cars are going for knowing what they are going to have in them with the frame replaced...I guess I just don't see the market in the parting out of these cars that has been made in the viper market.

Why would you think frame replacement is always done? I can see a hack job where someone cuts, rewelds new frame sections and straitens the car. After all it is a salvage title car and always will be unless someone does something illegal.
Well unless you have more than one car to do this with you can't buy frame sections from Ford. I spoke iwth the GT guys and the only way to fix the frame is to order a completely new one and cut the piece out you need...so I guess its possible for someone to have 1 or 2 cars and buy one frame to fix both cars with.
The assumption on the replacement of the frame was also from just looking at some of the cars and seeing where the damage is.
