Restored 1970 BOSS 302 MUSTANG


I'm pretty certain that was Smokey Yunick's Black and Gold 69 Trans Am Racer, according to my "Boss & Cobra Jet Mustangs" book by Dr. John Craft.

Car has been resto'd. Was my sons high school car and had a '70 front end on her when we got her 7+yrs ago as previous owner like the look better.....

The car is a true M1 but we went to the resto side. Original was Wimbeldon White/ Blk Int with a FX, 3:08 LS and 351w:bored. She now has a new heart being stroked 408, went with a Top Loader vs T5 (nostalgia I guess) and sporting a 3:55 posi...

Color is from a '85 F-150 catalog.......

and it is almost as fun to drive as the FGT! :cheers

MAD, I have a soft spot for Wimbledon White as that's the color of my 70 BOSS 302, but with Medium Blue Interior instead of black....it took awhile, but the blue interior finally grew on me. :lol

Good for you to keep with the Toploader.....although that 5th gear should would be nice on the freeways these days, right? My BOSS's rear is now a 3.89 Richmond gear set up. Good thing these engines like to rev. :biggrin

mine is 4.30's :biggrin and I kept the toploader sure sounds good cruising at 5000rpm on the highway!
