Hi, all,

I know many of you are already planning to participate in the private GT event on April 9, but for those of you who aren't, but wish to come race on the 10th, I have made the following announcement on the website and several other message boards:

"Last Friday, we mailed out entry packets to everyone who attended our 2010 events, plus those who called in to request an entry packet. This same packet will appear on our website in the next day or so in a downloadable .pdf format for anyone reading this who is not on the list. If you would prefer to have a packet mailed to you or need extras, please call the office at 702-614-6108. Packets can be mailed back to us, or you may fax them to us at 702-614-6109.

The 2011 Rule Book will also appear shortly on the website as well, also in .pdf format. I have just posted a thread on all of the changes for 2011 in the Mojave Mile website forum (http://www.mojavemile.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=96), for those interested.

Interest has been high, so please send in your packets to secure your grid spot ASAP! Because this is a one-day event, grid spots will be capped at 200."

You should also know that among the 2011 rule changes is an expansion of the speeds we will allow the GTs to run without a roll cage. This speed is up to 240 mph if Hoosier R6 or approved racing tires are used, and 230 mph on (Y)-rated street tires (with appropriate personal safety equipment).

Regarding the GT-only event, Tom and I are having regular planning meetings, and all is going well for you to have a great day of speed! I cannot access the private member section of this board, so if any of you have questions for me, please ask here or call Tom or myself at the number listed above.

See you in April!

Good to see the 240mph rule.

Tech Speed Chart

I have attached a link to our 2011 Tech Speed chart for those interested:

Note that all of our speed limits come with a +5 mph tolerance before a warning is received.

Thanks Mike! Really looking forward to a great event. Long smooth track with almost a guaranteed tail wind...:thumbsup:banana

I can't thank Mike, Keith, Marsha and the whole MKM crew for all the time they have spent with me on getting to know the GT's and putting together both our GT day and the new speed category for the GT at the regular events. They are truly great people and a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to run full boost (especially with the new in cabin boost controller) and see what these cars are really capable of in the Mojave Mile. :cheers
