Yes, I can dim them but where is the switch to turn them off completely -even with the door open.....can't find anything on the issue...

Not that I know of. You would have to rewire and add your own switch to do that.

Cant be done. Only option is unplugging the wire that is plugged directly into the back of the mirror. I did this on my personal car and my car has the butterfly doors, and I like to keep them open in my garage for display purposes. Dont want the lights draining the battery, so I just disconnected the plug. Worked like a champ. Leave the doors open for weeks at a time and have not had a battery issue yet :)

thanks, BTW Shelby I was on a business trip to Mexico City last week and saw a heritage with the lambo doors......there was another with 168 miles for sale at 270 thousand....I got to see the papers and was a Sawgrass, Ford (Sunrise,Fl) which they sold to the owner for 180 thousand...

As wired OEM, if you leave the doors open the light will still turn off in about 10 to 20 mins.

I learned from Syco GT that you can leave your electronic device (i.e., things like a radar detector) in the 'On' position when plugged into the back of the mirror and it will turn off after 10-20 minutes as well!:thumbsup

I will probably just disconnect it....if you're cleaning or working inside the car it for a long time it could impact/drain the battery....but good info.....

Mine take about 30 minutes. Interesting that there would be that much variation.

Yes, I can dim them ...
Really? How do you do that?
