Right now I have the 2.7 pulley, ECU tune, and FR exhaust & headers. With that combo, I dyno'd at over 630 rwhp, and 600 rwtq. A lot of times the car overpowers the rubber in 1st and 2nd, and it requires some decent throttle modulation to maintain traction.
I understand that the Whipple cars can go over 800hp. My question to the guys that have done this, is the car manageable? I'm sure in 3rd gear (and up) that the car pulls like a bat out of hell, but what about 1st and 2nd gear, are they useable?
Any details you can give me would be appreciated. I am sitting on the fence about making the change. I love the power, but I want it to be useable. Thanks for your input!
