Pulled Trigger: 2012 Vette - Torch Red - Ebony 6spd

Finally, pulled the trigger and will have a Vette.

Just put in order for 2012 1LT Torch Red / Ebony - 6spd from MacMulkin Chevy in NH.

They come highly recommended and offered a great price with free delivery.

I still have the magazine inserts for '81 C4 Corvette; came close to getting one in '96...then again in '07; each time I deferred...saved the money, went conservative, or held back.

Now its happening; will be my city car, to-GT weekend car, and all round ride.

It was a long wait; but it will be sweet.

5 speed manual?

I had a 2000 and 2005. Best bang for the buck on the planet and a car you can drive anywhere and not worry. That dealer has a great reputation. Enjoy it.

Very nice

Shadowman

What the hell is that ? :lol

Only kidding

See pockets !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shiny wheels !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make it the GT's twin, great idea!!! I had a 2000 C5 convertible, it was a great car, even got great gas mileage on the highway. Make sure that you get the $20 mod that eliminates the skip shift from 1-4!!!

Very cool. Congrats...Why 1LT if I may ask ? Also, if the "Skip Shift 1-4" algorithm starts to get on your nerves:

Click link below and register your email and order number so you're not bitting your nails not knowing order status (I lost all my nails waiting for my ZO6  )

Went with 1LT b/c I think the base car offers everything a sports car needs, it's lighter and at low $40s K it's a steal.

If I need Z06 or ZR1 performance, will just drive my GT

Though that ZR1 is a future classic....and I will own one one day.

A Viper too....after 5yrs of American Supercar ownership....I want all 3.

Factory just accepted order: 1100 Order Accepted

Will get codes as it goes down line

:tap: Oh shuddup, Jeeeeerzee.

I agree with the 'best bang for the buck' statements. 'No question about that.

ENJOY, Kayvan! :thumbsup:thumbsup

I've had almost all the generations you can’t argue for the price great for daily driving. Definitely get that 1-4 skip shift crap eliminator.:biggrin

07/01/2011 (1100) Order placed at dealership. Order passed GM edit tables but dealer has not received allocation to place order.
07/01/2011 (1102) Order entered via web.
07/04/2011 (2000) Order accepted by GM. Dealer used allocation to place order into production.
07/05/2011 (2500) Order preferenced. Order pulled to the production system.
07/06/2011 (3000) Order accepted by production control. Parts being ordered and production process is underway.

Dealer just emailed; GM approved another $1500 dealer cash; so price just got rebated!

Great news!!! I have to say I did enjoy my 2000 C5 convertible while I had it!!! I put 35,000 mostly trouble free miles on it. I also did receive many "thumbs up", not nearly as many as I get in the GT, however.!!!

OK, when is the build date, and delivery date? Are you going to pick it up at the plant? Not a bad drive home, and the car does get pretty good gas mileage. Just make sure that you've already ordered the $20 part to cure the "skip shift"!!!!
