Thought you may enjoy these. I know this is peanuts for Shadowman and the boys but this was my first tear down...not easy!gt 020.JPGgt 024.JPG

Way to go. It's fun, isn't it? :thumbsup

First picture is the spot where some of the FGTs lines rubbed the silver metal frame

If you are a wrencher, do not be intimidated by the GT. I've found it to be immensely friendly to work on. You have to remember that the average Ford guy that went to school was what, 3 or 4 days? Be patient, logical, and this is no different than working on a 69 GTO.

There are a few tricks to be learned. After you do everything the first time it will be easy. I spent most of my time struggling with the fender liners. Remember there are 4 clips at the top. One is almost invisble.

You should check to see if Shadowman has any 2 piece fender liner sets left. Make the next time way easier.

Well.....................unless we see some 'hand modeling' going on, your capabilities will be suspect until then!! :tap:

Thankyou ,and well done

Hi any chance you could take some pics of the emissions control unit and its hoses,, Thanks R

Also looks like a good time to switch out the fuel filler assy with a later unit that won't break.

Do you know of a source for the latter, improved unit. I'd like to purchase one just in case.

No such thing as a later, "improved" unit.
