Jay

I remain impressed by your elegant design, and your addressing this grounding issue.

Thanks!

(Also, as mentioned way back when, the DC-DC converter also seems interesting!)

Geeeeeez. Do your pro bono clients say 'thank you' in the same way??

Unbelievable.

I guess I need smiley faces or lol and the like. Had nothing to do with being ungrateful, just the hassle from all sides. I am lucky--3 GTs and no failures.

Sure, now you're trying to trivialize your comment. LOL

Funny how sarcasm is so dangerous isn't it or maybe sarcasm isn't so funny to the receiver? I even used LOL as you suggested and you didn't like it. Sorry just trying to tease you a little.

Hi Jay
Took my GT out last night since the snow just left us and boom the speedometer just blew.
Are you making up these kits and selling them? If so can I buy one off of you?
Thanks

I seem to remember having to change the sending unit on my speedo. First thing to try as it wasn't too hard to get to, and cheap enough to try before a new guage. I couldn't find the thread on the search, but give it a try. The protection kit might or might not have prevented this, if it is sending unit failure, but I purchased a kit to keep as much safe as possible. And thanks again Jay!

Jay,
Any more kits left? When I track my car after about 10 minutes on track my fuel gauge goes to Empty and the check gauges light comes on. After pulling into the paddock, shutting the car off and then re-starting the fuel gauge works fine again. Only does it on track and it is probably not the same issue as the failed gauges but I thought it wouldn't hurt to install your fix as a preventative.

My fuel gauge lied to me on the track too. I filled it and it took about 1/2 a tank. I later did the key off/on thing and found the same thing you see. I think it's just the nature of the beast.

Any word on the DC-DC (clean power) converter previously discussed?
