Politically Incorrect: SEMA Booth Babes

What surprised me at SEMA was I did not see on Cadillac CTSv, in fact Cadillac was not represented at the GM booth. Was amazed at the numbers of GTR's, must have been 25+.

Also, got a kick of seeing SMART cars being tweaked. Many of things where missing this year, including the Foose tent where they redo a car in a week, the tent for new exhibitors, the drifting display. The attitude this year lacked energy, of course the stock market's performance and news of the Ford and GM loss did not help. Attendance was very light as well.

The Raptor is impressive, really liked a couple of tweaked MKS in the Ford booth. Not that it is my thing, Ford is holding their own with the FLEX.

I got back from SEMA yesterday, it was an interesting show.

This was our fourth year with a booth at the show. www.hptuners.com

It seemed everybody was in agreement that the show had much less traffic than the previous years. However, I was told by my sales guy that SEMA said this was the second largest show they've had. I'm not sure what stats they are basing that on though.

A few big names were not there, like Holley.

Also, the booth babes were hot as usual. A few years ago they were allowed to wear much less clothing, but SEMA has tried to "clean up" the show.

FYI, booth babe rental is ~$400/day for the show. I'm not man enough to ask what their after hours rates are.

Financial Turmoil and the Mergers of the Future

Turmoil

With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros
and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some
good advice****. For all of you with any money left, be aware of the
next expected mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and
make some BIG bucks. Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R.
Grace Co. Will merge and become: Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros, and Zesta Crackers join forces and
become: Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become: MMMGood.

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will
merge and become: ZipAudiDoDa .

5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become: FedUP.

6. Fairchild Electronics and Honeywell Com puters will become: Fairwell
Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become: PouponPants.

8. Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become:
Knott NOW!

I hope this passes the censors!!! :ack

As soon as that lesson is over, I'll have you teach them on how to stretch their dollars when in the company of a Gold Digger.
