I'm tired, so I'll write more later about my thoughts on the GT. But I have to say, this is a bad a** car and I love it! I flew into Minneapolis today, rented a car to drive 100 miles south. Picked up the car from one of my dealers and headed home. I'm glad I didn't ship it... the smiles happen every mile!

Oh yeah, time to change my heading to owner!

Cool!

Yeah, that's certainly a COOL way to purchase a GT . . . drive it home! Thanks for sharing the photos!

Congratulations Bill! :cheers

Congratulations Bill!

Can't wait to see you and the car when you bet back home. I'll let everybody know you snagged your ride today at the Atlanta area meeting.

Welcome to the inner circle Bill! Enjoy.

Made it home without any problems. That car rocks!

I had the plastic bar installed before I drove it back and I'm glad that I did it. Now I get to wash it and smile some more.

Where's the pictures from the local meeting? When's the next one?

Hello Bill,

Glad to hear you and the car made it back safe. I agree, this car Rocks!

Photos of the Atlanta meeting are located in the Members GT Gatherings section of the photo gallery. We plan to meet the first Saturday of every month.

Sorry I wasn't able to make it over today. The Ford dealership where I ordered my oil promised it would be in by 10:00am on Friday but it did not arrive. I should get it on Monday and should be able to make it over this week.

Awesome GT Dude

My GT is all cleaned up and tucked in for the night from its 1,100 mile trip. This poor car is going to have 15,000 miles on it before the end of the year... I just can't stop driving it!

The car on top is a Ferrari 355. It's very nice, but it must go. I'm out of room!

If you know of anyone looking for a real nice, well sorted 355, let me know. I've got it on eBay real cheap: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150019775054

The car is worth at least $5,000 to $7,500 more than the starting price. It would be $10,000 more if I let Ferrari of Atlanta sell it for me, but they charge a fee. I need to get it sold, so pass on the word and thanks!

Bill,
Nice garage, how tall is your ceiling? Are you the owner of the Factory Five Forum?
Cheers,

Hi Daniel

Yes, I'm the owner of www.ffcobra.com . I get over 2.2 million hits a month from guys/gals building Factory Five Racing kits.

My ceiling is 102" tall. I had to have the garage door raised so that I could use the lift with two cars. The cost was under $300 to have someone do it. The lift is an American Custom Lift (aclifts.com). It works very well. I think the lift was about $2500.

Hey Bill,
You run an excellent site, I was on another Cobra site for a couple of years, until I got a nose full. This site has remained very civil without even one moderator besides the owner. Hope it stays this way.

I assume you are referring to raising the lifting equipment and not changing the actual door.
Hope to see you in Motown.

Cheers,
daniel

Bill, Great cars, particularly the red with white stripes. Congratulations. I Look forward to seeing you at the monthly gettogethers.
