I bought it from Mullinax Ford in New Smyrna Beach. I went up to Arcadia, Fl to look at an 05 but the dealership wouldn't budge from $189K. I think he was still high. The owner wouldn't even come out and meet me and try and work a deal. My brother told me about the 2006 at Mullinax so I went there and got a much better deal and they were great to work with.

Congrats! The dealer in Arcadia is going to own that car for awhile with those expectations. Nice video of Moroso. I run a Lotus Cup car there with Chin and N.A.S.A. Hope to see you on the track!

State of Confusion
I will definitely drive the car. That’s what it was made for.
I was on the track in my F430 and there were 2 Ford GT’s running that day. I fell in love when I saw them, had to have one when I heard them. Here is some in car video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvJYBcPfYao unfortunately I only got a few seconds of the 2 GT’s at the end. I can’t wait to get my GT on the track. I’ll post some video when I do.

Congratulations....and looking foward to the video....also
"I only got a few seconds of the 2 GT’s at the end".....is that because they lead the pack?:lol

Pick up and ck out.

Based on some horror stories posted on this board I would definitely go get it my self. You'll want to check out the vehicle before accepting delivery. I'd rent a trailer if I didn't want to drive it back which is what I did, but I was 10 hrs away. Don't for get to get your goodies with the car.

As has been posted on this site before, 87% of statisitics are made up on the spot. Drive it. Vary your speed between 120 and 85 and it won't take you 4 hours. You will have to stop for gas, cause the tank's only good for about 300 miles. The biggest piece of advice is to make sure the tires are properly inflated and the fluids are where they should be. Drive it home if the weather is permitting.

Drive it... Check the lug nuts first and more importantly if at night watch for deers, racoons, alligators and other wildlife! If you do hit wildlife - tag it as roadkill as it will be the most expensive $ per lb of any meat out there - sure to outprice even Kobe Beef!

Congrats - Enjoy! You won't get rid of the grin for a week - I didn't!

I enjoyed your video - great! Nice driving with some awkward cars to get past.

Ferraris at full chat do make the most beautiful sound - the GT is quite different, more menacing somehow.

I found myself trying to see past your rear view mirror and at one stage I actually glanced left to make sure 'we' were past something!

She got here early

Transport came a day early. No dents or scratches. THats a plus.

Only issue so far is when closing the engine compartment. It wont lock down on the driver side. Seemed ok at the dealership. I read the manual but that didn't help .Anyone have this problem before? I hope I don't have to take it into the dealership after the first day.

Im heading back out to try and get it shut.

If you are closing it by your self, stand on your rocker panel and press down in the middle of the hatch with authority. As instructed by Camilo.:cheers

Me, I get a running start and leap up on the cover, right in the middle. Latches every time.:thumbsup Be sure you wear your Converse All Stars so you don't scratch anything.

Maybe I'll get that damn thing adjusted someday.:rofl

If you have an 05 you can adjust the rubber bumpers down a little to make closing easier. If the rear cover sit a little higher than the roof you can also try shimming the latch hooks up with some washers, but be careful to get them aligned correctly.

My trick is that I'm usually wearing deck shoes that slip off easily - so I slip off my left shoe and put my left foot on the drivers seat and stand. That way you're high above the rear deck and can press down easily.
