Bought mine over the phone in '06 and drove it from Moundsville WV to IL on January 5th '07... The owner of the dealership and his daughter built it to spec for his collection when their dealership won the allocation lottery.

I had only sat in one, let alone drive one... Great people and they were heartbroken to sell it, but the economy was taking a toll on their sales numbers so he sold it. At the time my wife and I discussed whether we could afford it and she said "just go for it"...

By far the best car I've ever owned and its the only car I own with a name (Vanessa), I have no plans on ever selling it, even if I'm lucky enough to get an allocation for the new one. So many great memories and hard to believe it's been 12 years already.

Me and my brother at Serramonte Ford just south of San Francisco on D Day October 24, 2005. He was the one who stumbled upon the dealership's newspaper ad advertising they had a GT sitting on the lot...I had been searching for one for the previous 9 months lol
