A long story, but sadly I lost a 350R at Road America just over 2 years ago when it snapped right just after the exit of Carousel at about 100mph.

Bought a Body in White, had it caged and did the rest myself, moving what was salvageable from the R.

Loaded it in the trailer tonite, for Shakedown, at Gingerman, Sunday. Fun project. Plan to Race it next year!

Good luck NJS. Looks good.

Nice Job - now it's time to go have some big fun.

Been a long road Nick but the rewards will be good. Let us know how it goes Sunday. Would have liked to be there.

Nice job Nick have fun Sunday.

Looking like a serious track car, well done!

Continentals by choice?

Wow Nick, looks awesome. Post some of the in car video when you race.

Continentals by choice?

The Contis are just for Shakedown/Non competition -- real cheap at $195 each for last years stickers, but slower than Hoosiers or Pirellis.

Also picked up a full set of brand new Conti Wets for $480, that will see competition use in the wet

You have some skilz. :thumbsup

Fantastic project, good luck, hope shakedown is simple!

Quite the transformation Nick. Hope the shakedown goes well.

I have been following the build for Nicks GT350R race car. Truly amazing ability Nick has putting together his race cars. Have fun tomorrow as its been a long road.

Very cool! Would be neat to see the carnage of the R to get the full picture of where you started to where you ended up. You definitely made lemonade out of lemons!

You and Spartan need to look outside the box. RED is the color.

Great Shakedown today. Wet in the morning, so I took it steady, bedded the brakes, and got a feel for the car. It's LOUD, way louder than my Boss 302 with Long tubes and open side pipes -- gonna need ear plugs :)

Need to move the dead pedal as it's too close to the clutch, and the driving position will take some getting used to, as I had to drop the seat 1.5" and move it inboard to avoid my helmet hitting the roof bar -- the S550 package with a Cage is way tighter than the S197.

Used Contis for the first few sessions, and the car was loose, especially the rear. Experienced the same in the R on the same tires to a lesser extent, so softened the rear sway bar -- time improved to slightly better than the R on the same tires, on a very green track.

Switched to Hoos R7's and times got a lot better -- 1+ seconds faster than the R on a Green track with more lifting to avoid max rpm late in 3 segments of the track.

Fun!!
